COLLECTION AUTUMN/WINTER 2015

The autumn/winter 2015 collection focuses on geometric shapes, varying in different forms such as strong graphic patterns, blurred lines and hints of tartan. Tartan is the classic print finding its origin in Scotland and with which fashion has an enduring love affair. The collection looks to the Scottish Highlands for inspiration, integrating graphic textiles with traditional checks and plaids yet reinterpreted in new weaving techniques such as 3D effects and faded lines mixed with chunky knits to create a modern twist. Modern, irregular geometric prints are taking center stage knitted in a silk/cashmere/wool double jacquard in shades of grey and black.

The colors of the moment: black and white mixed with a range of grey presented in a variety of textures and patterns. Whether it´s finely checkered on hooded winter coats, 70´s inspired blurred black/white tartan jackets or knitted cardigans and sweaters, it´s all about structure and surface. Just about any color can be combined with these black and white prints, designed for both the modern and timeless heart.

Focal products of this seasons autumn/winter collection are coats and jackets as well as cosy knitwear. Oversized, parka inspired wool coats reappear with one VANESSAMORIN signature detail, the back pleat with a waist belt pulled through.  A more classic A-lined short coat is presented in black and also a black/white

plaid version. Styling piece of this season is a short sleeve trenchcoat, creates the perfect look worn over a leather jacket or giving various other layering ideas.

VANESSAMORIN is showing their first signet embroidery, applied on the chest and back panel of a black bomber jacket. A short, fitted biker jacket shows different lengths at front and back and gives structure to the collection with sharply defined shoulders.

The knitwear is divided in two lines: the heavier knitted rib styles and the finely knitted jacquard pattern longsleeves. The grey, black or salt&pepper rib styles are made of a warm and soft cashmere/merino wool/viscose mix yarn. A high neck sweater with additional chest layer that runs in the contrary direction and a long hooded cardigan complete this range.  The double jacquard knit decorates the body in shape of slim fitted turtleneck sweaters and crew neck longsleeves and carries out that geometric voice throughout the collection.

Peachskin-like cupro jersey styles in washed black are back in this autumn/winter 2015 collection and show new variations of longsleeved overalls and floor length trenchcoats. Formal pants build a highlight with VANESSAMORIN signature seam creating a new construction on the back.
